the bitch won't go away. It's been here for two whole days @_____@ suckage.


the hiatus
-my computer died
-I moved 2500 miles
-didn't have internets for a while
-now I am back XD

the move
I am now safely in Portland It was...an interesting trip, to say the least. We drove two whole days straight (three of us--me, Max, and Jake), taking turns at the wheel, not stopping except to eat and get gas. And to take care of Jake's cat, who behaved exceptionally well, considering. (Which doesn't change the fact that she still hates me XD)

Our apartment is HUGE. It used to be an old victorian home, which the converted into two apartments, one of which is upstairs. We have the downstairs one, which means we get an entire floor to ourselves, in addition to our bedrooms in the basement. It's in a pretty good location, too, but it's just outside of the downtown grid, which drives the rent down XD So I don't mind having to walk an extra couple of blocks.

The hard drive died, but luckily I was able to get it backed up and just replace it. However, I neglected to back up my bookmarks :B so I lost all of that. Which included all of the "weekly thumb" deviations I had bookmarked, so that means I have to start from scratch. >_< BAH.

the bikes!
Haha, I now have more bikes than either of my housemates XD I got a vintage Schwinn to ride around on as a beater. It's pretty fast, but heavy as fuck. Add that to my minibike, mountain bike, and motobecane. And I'm thinking of buying Jake's bike, too XD (because it weighs about a fourth as much as the Schwinn >____> )

I've decided, too, if possible, I'm converting that Motobecane into a cross bike. Cross racing looks like so much fun 8D And we joked about "extreme cross racing"--because I thought, how fun would it be to hop off your bike, climb a mountain, then hop back on it and ride downhill? 8D haha, the sporting event of the new age. XD

Max got a cross bike, a Bianchi San Jose :B I'm jealous. X)!
