basically:
Would you travel downtown to go to an anime/manga/collectables/etc store? (keep in mind, it is on the MAX line, with a bike path and bus route on the same street; and Vancouver-ites, it would mean no sales tax 8D )
What we want to carry:
-anime (for to buy and rent, including imports)
-manga
-games (anime-centric, sims)
-used anime, manga, and games
-region-free dvd players
-plushies, figures, and other collectables
-apparel
-buttons, accessories, etc
-stationary
-manga supplies (copics, paper, tone, etc)
-random other things?
-hello kitty vibrators
We plan on offering 10% discount cards to anime club members at schools (PSU etc).
Ideally, we would also like to set up some sort of fanart gallery system, where local artists can sell their art in our store.
So what do you guys think? I was hoping to get some feedback from locals to kind of get a better feel for the area. So I would love to hear opinions and feedback.
By the way, none of this is set in stone yet, but this is what we want to do. We're seriously looking into it and drawing up a business plan (which we'll then have to take to a loan officer and attempt to get a small business loan). It's something that we've both always wanted to do, but it looks kind of feasible for the moment, so we're going to give it a shot.
